I acquired Doctor Dogs in January of 2017. I have been working in restaurants since I was 16 years old. I loved this project because it makes use of a wide variety of my current skills and constantly challenges me to develop new skills. Doctor Dogs won the 2021 Daily Herald Readers Choice Award for Best Hot Dog!

One day I will restart this project. I only ever had one client, a 24 unit office building in Roselle where I had an office. I managed this building for the owner and brought it from 60% occupancy to 100% occupancy. Since this project the building was sold to new owners and I currently do Property Management for them and all of their properties as an Independent Contractor.

It has always been very important to me to feed people. Not just in restaurants jobs and restaurant ownership, but simply on a human-to-human level. I remember as a very young man my best friend and I used to take the train downtown, but 5 or 6 Subway $5 foot long sandwiches and pass them out to people who looked hungry. Hunger appears to be a simple problem to solve! One day Cofelo Community Outreach will help to solve this problem.

Colony Green Cosmetics never sold a single product yet I had developed a full lineup of lotions, scrubs, salts, and more. I really enjoyed running Colony Green Cosmetics and Crave Handcrafted Soaps but by the time I was ready to launch this company I had lost passion and inspiration for it.

During this time my business partner and I developed Crave Handcrafted Soaps. I had bought her soaps for years prior to us going into business together. After I came back to Chicago from Ohio she and I decided that if she made the soap and kept innovating I would sell it! We did this for years and sold to all of our friends and relatives, at craft shows, and at select spas.

Visinar, Visual Seminars! Looking back at this project it probably should have been named “Visinar, Virtual Seminars” BUT hindsight is 2020. This was my first major business endeavor and the BEST THING EVER happened to me for this project. IT FAILED!!! This failure gave me a solid foundation and a HUNGER to build my future businesses.
